Account Setup & Merchant Onboarding Guide

Getting started with UPIGateway.dev takes less than two minutes. Create your account using your email address, verify your credentials, and log in to your merchant dashboard. No tedious paperwork or complex banking registration is required.

Once logged in, navigate to Settings to enter your primary UPI ID and mobile number. Your account is immediately ready to create payment links, set up digital storefronts, and generate developer API keys.

Ensure that the UPI handle you configure is active and capable of receiving inward fund transfers from any UPI application. You can test your configuration immediately by creating a small test payment link.

Our step-by-step onboarding wizard walks you through each setting to ensure complete operational readiness from your first transaction.

Linking Bank Accounts & Configuring UPI Handles

UPIGateway.dev works seamlessly with any valid UPI Virtual Payment Address (VPA) issued by Indian banks or registered payment apps, including SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Axis Bank, Google Pay, PhonePe, and Paytm.

To connect a merchant token, open the Merchant Gateways section in your dashboard. Select your preferred provider and input your registered credentials. Our automated listener validates the connection and begins monitoring incoming transfers.

You can connect multiple gateway tokens on Pro plans and above, allowing intelligent load balancing across different UPI IDs. This ensures seamless redundancy in case one bank experiences network latency.

Transaction Monitoring & Webhook Troubleshooting

Every transaction initiated through your account is logged in real time on the Transactions page. You can filter payments by date, order identifier, payment status, and gateway provider. Detailed order records include bank UTR numbers for simple reconciliation.

If your server fails to receive an expected webhook callback, verify that your webhook URL endpoint is publicly reachable and responds with an HTTP 200 code. You can view the webhook delivery status and retry failed callbacks directly from the dashboard.

Check your firewall settings to ensure that incoming HTTP POST requests from our servers are not blocked by security rules. We provide detailed webhook logs and raw payload previews for rapid debugging.

Resolving Pending Payments & Manual Verification

Occasionally, inter-bank delays or temporary UPI switch downtime can delay real-time notification callbacks. When a buyer indicates successful payment deduction, you can look up the transaction using the bank UTR reference.

Our manual verification utility checks the banking record directly, links the confirmation to the corresponding order ID, and dispatches the fulfillment webhook without delay. This prevents customer frustration and ensures accurate accounting records.

Configuring Notification Channels & Alerts

Keep track of every incoming sale with automated alerts. You can configure email notifications and webhook dispatches to stay informed of high-value transactions or sudden order spikes.

Set custom notification thresholds in your settings page to receive immediate warnings if a payment listener experiences disconnection or requires credential renewal.

Our alert delivery channels operate around the clock to give merchants complete peace of mind.

Security Standards & UTR Verification Support

Our platform uses advanced cryptographic hashing and strict timestamp validation to protect against replay attacks and duplicate payment claims. Each unique transaction reference number from the bank is matched against pending orders before marking them as successful.

Our support team is available around the clock to assist with any technical inquiries or payment verification issues. We ensure that every payment is verified accurately and credited without dispute.

We maintain strict adherence to RBI data localization guidelines, keeping all sensitive logs securely stored within Indian data centers.
